AM I the Author?(Part 1)

Updated: Apr 2, 2019

"Whether we realize it or not, we are in the midst of a novel...." Last week we used authors in each one of our impressions. One was a playwright, one a humorist, and another noted for novels. Do you realize that is your life and mine?

We have multiple people who have roles in our lives – much like a play. There are times when all we can do is laugh, or find a way to see the humor. And, whether we realize it or not, we are in the midst of a novel – our own personal autobiography.

But, who is the author? Are we? Or are we allowing God to write our novel? The difference is literally between an autobiography and an authorized biography – where we are allowing God to write as we walk alongside of him.

The Bible says that Jesus is the author and perfector of our faith. Have you ever thought of Jesus writing for you and about you? That would mean that He would be where ever WE would be – and that he would be writing at ALL times.

Yikes.

What would he write about you? As you go to school? Work? In your car? At home? What about in our minds and hearts?

How about this: IF we allow him to be the author of our lives and gave him permission to be with us at all times, what would you hope he would write?

Impress Me (Part 4)

“You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” Mark Twain gets credit for the quote today. Why Mark Twain? Because Mark Twain wasn’t Mark Twain. He was Samuel Langhorne Clemens. He chose
