“You never get a second chance to make a first impression.”
I remember hearing that when I was younger and thinking “Who cares?”. If people don’t like me, deal with it.
Don’t like how I dress? Don’t look.
Don’t like how I talk? Don’t listen.
Don’t like how my hair is cut, or my earring – go some place else.
I am who I am, and that is how I will stay.
It is funny how time changes your perspective. Nowadays, it is not that I don’t care about my first impression; I just want it to reflect more of what is going on the inside – not what you see on the outside.
So, let me give you three words, and think about YOUR first impression when you read each one:
• God
• Jesus
Isn’t it interesting that we have been taught that these are one and the same? They are, literally 3-in-1. If you are a mathematical person, the equation is simple: 1 x 1 x 1 = 1.
Yet when you think of these individually…you get a different first impression.
Well, at least I do.
So, what were your first impressions when you read each one individually? And, what would be your first impression when you think of all three at once?
